Westward Equipment Service
Wes Ward, owner of Wes Ward Auto, also owns and operates Westward Equipment Service which installs and services truck and auto shop equipment.
Since I did such a fine job on his auto repair website, he asked me to produce one for his equipment service operation. This was a new site, so I purchased the template Long Brown Folio (not a name I would have chosen) from Theme Forest. This is actually a one page site which scrolls to different sections via the menu, or simply scrolling with your mouse. This was all the space required for the content of this site, and the content of the home page, is one of the most important areas for search engine optimization, therefore on a one page site such as this, the entire content of the site is the home page.
The overall color scheme of the template was changed from brown to blue.
The single image in the header was replaced with multiple images by incorporating the Nivo Slider from DEV7 Studios. The portfolio section was changed to allow for smaller thumbnail images to fit all the images that were necessary for display of the equipment.
A Google Map was added to the contact area.
And finally, Typekit was used to provide the Aviano Future font used in the large headings.
